Mechanism Detail
Ivermectin modulates chloride ion channels, inhibits PAK1 kinase activity, blocks Wnt/β-catenin signaling, and induces mitochondrial dysfunction in cancer cells. It also modulates P-glycoprotein, potentially reversing multidrug resistance in chemotherapy-resistant tumors.
Clinical Status
Preclinical evidence for anti-cancer effects. Small clinical studies underway. FDA-approved only as an antiparasitic.
