Quercetin

A plant flavonoid with senolytic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Often combined with dasatinib as a senolytic therapy to clear senescent cells.
Mechanism Detail
Quercetin inhibits PI3K, activates sirtuins, and suppresses NF-κB and NLRP3 inflammasome signaling. As a senolytic (combined with dasatinib), it selectively induces apoptosis in senescent cells by transiently disabling their anti-apoptotic networks (BCL-2, BCL-XL, PI3K/AKT).
Clinical Status
Dasatinib + quercetin senolytic combination tested in Phase I/II trials for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, diabetic kidney disease, and Alzheimer's. Generally well-tolerated. Available as a supplement.
