Hesperidin for Stage IV Cancer

Hesperidin modulates multiple cancer pathways and may enhance chemotherapy efficacy.
Mechanism of Action
Hesperidin inhibits PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling, induces apoptosis through mitochondrial pathway, inhibits angiogenesis, and sensitizes cancer cells to cisplatin and doxorubicin. It also modulates tumor immunity through NF-κB suppression.
General mechanism: Citrus flavanone glycoside. AChE inhibitor, BDNF/TrkB activator, NF-κB inhibitor, Nrf2 activator. Crosses BBB.
Current Evidence
Preclinical evidence across colon, breast, and lung cancer. Chemosensitization effects documented. Clinical trials limited.
Clinical Status: Preclinical for cancer. Available as supplement.

Very safe. Naturally present in citrus fruits. Well-tolerated. No significant drug interactions at supplement doses.
