Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ) for Stage IV Cancer

Also known as: PQQ, BioPQQ, Methoxatin

PQQ enhances immune cell mitochondrial function and may support anti-tumor immunity through metabolic reprogramming.

Mechanism of Action

PQQ promotes mitochondrial fitness in T cells and NK cells, enhancing their energy-dependent anti-tumor activities. It also modulates NF-κB and may reduce cancer-related fatigue through improved cellular energy production.

General mechanism: Redox cycling cofactor. PGC-1α/CREB activator for mitochondrial biogenesis. NGF stimulator. Antioxidant (20,000+ redox cycles).

Current Evidence

Immune enhancement effects documented. Cancer-specific studies are very early. Primarily studied for fatigue and cognitive support.

Clinical Status: Preclinical for immune enhancement. Available as supplement.

Safety Profile

Very safe. Present in foods (kiwi, parsley). Well-tolerated as supplement. No significant side effects.
